Turbovane Controllable Pitch Axial

This technology was developed by European manufacturers in the early 70s as a response to skyrocketing energy prices. The blade angle or "pitch" was adjustable hydraulically while the fan ran at constant speed, allowing for greater efficiencies at partial loads. Sturtevant introduced their first model in 1975.

Application
Designed for fossil-fuel boilers in swing loaded power plants.
