| 2004. Built sometime in the 1920s or 1930s, retired in the 1950s, this glossy painted coal burning blower is now a desk ornament. Until the mid-1930s, when oil burners finally became safe and reliable, coal was the primary heating fuel of homes. This small blower boosted combustion so cheaper grades of coal could be burned. |
