HC-1 Horizontal Centercrank

These engines were regularly used as independent engines for belt drive or direct connected to fans, blowers and electric generators.

 

         

Design Specifications:

 

SIZES - 22(7x10 to 24x14)
WEIGHT - 5300 to 22000LBS

Construction Features:

They could be furnished for either high or low pressures, including heating boiler pressures of 15-20 lbs. This made them ideal for driving fans in heating and ventilating systems. Excepting the 18x16 and 16x16 engines, which had slide valves, all the engines used piston valves.
