Type HC-1 Horizontal Centercrank Steam Engine

Application
These engines were regularly used as independent engines for belt drive or direct connected to fans, blowers and electric generators.

Construction
They could be furnished for either high or low pressures, including heating boiler pressures of 15-20 lbs. This made them ideal for driving fans in heating and ventilating systems.Excepting the 18x16 and 16x16 engines, which had slide valves, all the engines used piston valves.

Sizes
Cylinders from 7x10 to 24x14.
