BLDG K
Date Built:1966

Purpose: A 510 x 80' metal building used for general assembly and welding work. In 1986-87 it was leased by the Japanese firm Enprotech for final assembly of the MBTA's Green Line(Kinki Sharyo)Type 7 light rail cars and (MBB)commuter rail coaches.

The semi-finished cars were transported by truck from the Conley port terminal to Hyde Park. With an overhead crane and rail access, it was an attractive option for Enprotech in meeting their "Buy American" content requirements.

Currently: Owned by Magic Beans
